Aunt Sally’s Pralines is looking for an experienced, reliable, and dedicated employee to be a part of the team that manages the warehouse for our world famous pralines. Aunt Sally’s is a family-owned, New Orleans business that ships millions of hand-made pralines worldwide, and operates two retail stores. This position is responsible to ensure that our warehouse is operated in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. Previous experience operating a fork lift and pallet jack is required. The Warehouse Assistant will assist in the organization and operations of our warehouse and loading dock. The responsibilities include: - Receiving deliveries physically and through the inventory management software that we use - Completing receiving paperwork in a timely and accurate manner - Unpacking, tagging, and retagging retail merchandise - Pulling and packing merchandise for transfer to retail stores - Preparing shipments for pickup and delivery - Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace - Maintaining accurate paperwork and inventory counts - Assisting Kitchen and Shipping co-workers by moving cases and containers as requested - Assisting all staff with garbage disposal, and securing two dumpsters daily at close of business The skills required to be successful in this job include: - Experience operating a pallet jack and forklift (required) - Very strong organizational skills - Mechanical aptitude - Excellent vision - Highly reliable with an excellent work ethic - Able to stand on your feet for a full eight hour shift - Able to lift 60 pounds - Able to learn and adapt to new challenges quickly - Able to work well with a diverse group of co-workers, and contribute positively to the work environment This is a full time position, with full benefits and the potential for advancement. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: All employees have their temperature taken upon entry, masks must be worn at all times, frequent hand sanitizing, physical distancing, enhanced air circulation, one-way traffic patterns, etc.
