We will discuss the basics of an estate plan and how having a plan in place can benefit everyone, regardless of the value of their estate. Participants of this workshop will walk away with a basic understanding and the importance/benefits of each of the following : Will, Revocable Trust, Power of Attorney, Advance Health Care DirectiveBurial Directive. Additionally, I will provide an explanation of the probate process in New Mexico and how it can be avoided with proper planning, as well as avoiding the need for a guardianship in the event of medical and/ or mental incapacity. Brief Bio: Cindy Sikelianos is a life long resident of Albuquerque. She received her BS and JD from the University of New Mexico and has been practicing primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration and Probate since passing the New Mexico State Bar Exam in 1997. In addition, she owned and operated a dance studio for twelve years, before closing the doors in 2020. Some personal interests of Cindy's include dancing, hiking, reading, music and cooking.
