Join us for our summer social - a picnic at the beautiful San Joaquin Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary. Free! Please register & bring a dish. Please join us! Members, guests and all friends of The Inside Edge are invited to our summer social event. Enjoy this beautiful location on a mid-summer evening, as you connect with old and new friends around the picnic tables. We will meet at 5pm for a potluck style dinner. Chicken and Vegetable Lasagna will be provided. Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. A variety of flavored waters will be available; bring any other non-alcoholic drink you prefer. A lovely evening walk around the ponds is a nice option, with over 200 species of birds in this wildlife sanctuary. This will be our suggested walk for our monthly Outside Edge.This event is free for all, but please register on the ticket page to help us plan. It encompasses over 300 acres of coastal freshwater wetlands and provides habitat for more than 200 bird species. There are six ponds where we can bird watch and shaded areas where we’re walking next to streams. All paths are flat for easy walking. There’s plenty of parking, a covered picnic area and flush toilets! ABOUT PARKING at the MarshNote that there is a map in the location link (above) and GPS directions may not be accurate. The only entrance to the street leading to the Marsh parking is off of Campus Drive. You’ll turn onto this little road called Riparian View. Go to the end and turn in left.
