A Two Day On-Water Music Festival on Pistakee Lake to Benefit The Fox Waterway Clean Water Initiative! Tie up, Drop Anchor, and Jam! SHAKE THE LAKE (Music Festival)@ THE BOAT HOUSE CHICAGO - JULY 23RD & 24TH 2021Introducing "Shake the Lake", the first-ever, 2 day, on-water, music festival exclusively for boaters!! We're talking 2 days of live bands on Pistakee Lake with professional staging and production for the entire boating community to enjoy! The purpose of this event is to bring our community together around our love for music, boating, and the water. Our goal is to raise $5000 to support the Fox Waterway Clean Water Initiative! A brand new initiative dedicated to keeping the waterway we love so much, clean and healthy. This is a completely free event for all to enjoy, we just ask that you find it in your heart to make a donation and help us achieve our fundraising goal to help clean up our waterway! LINEUPFRIDAY, JULY 23RD3pm - 5pm: Jess Bess & The Intentions 6pm - 9pm: Sneezy SATURDAY, JULY 24TH12pm - 2pm: TBD 3pm - 5pm: Rockstar Rodeo 6pm - 9pm: The Student Body DETAILSLocation: The Boat House Chicago Date: July 23rd & 24th 2021 There will be a large no-wake zone setup in front of the stage at the edge of the Boat House property on Pistakee Lake for all attendees to safely tie-up, drop anchor, and have a blast!Enjoy live performances from 3pm to 9pm on Friday, July 23rd and 12pm to 9pm on Saturday, July 24th. This two day concert series is a Non-For-Profit Concert Benefit to help raise money for the Fox Waterway Clean Water Initiative.Find food & drink conveniently located at The Boat House Chicago Dock n' Shop. FAQWhat time does live music begin? Friday at 3pm and Saturday at 12pmShould we bring anything specific? Anchors, fenders, ropes, and flotation devices. Please be sure all navigation lights are fully functional and all required safety equipment is on board.What if I want to leave and come back? Attendees may come and go as they please but should do so courteously with care. Please avoid tying up with other boats if you intend to depart during a performance. What if we are meeting someone who arrives later in the evening? Can we save a spot? All boat "parking" at Shake the Lake is first come first serve. If you do plan to tie up we recommend arriving together whenever possible. Do you accept debit or credit cards? This is a totally free event, so bring your kids, buddies, and anyone else you'd like to float n jam with! Donations can be made through the Eventbrite page using all major Credit or Debit Cards. Concessions can be purchased inside the Dock n' Shop & all major CCs are accepted.What if it rains? Shake the Lake will go on as long as it's safe for those attending. CONCESSIONSAt The Boat House Chicago, we offer a wide variety of snacks, pizza, beer, liquor, soda, energy drinks, etc. Find everything you need inside the Dock n' Shop, which can be accessed via the gas dock. We offer many great food items including: Salerno's Pizza by the Slice Chips, Popcorn, & other SnacksIce Cream & Dip'N'DotsCandySoda, Water, Gatorade, & Energy DrinksAlcoholic Beverages (Beer, Wine, & Liquor)BathroomsOur bathrooms are located in a small building near the gas dock with a blue roof. As always, there are also private restrooms available to our slip, drystack, and boat club members. We have a strict and consistent sanitation process for all bathrooms. There will be 2 exterior hand washing stations located near the restrooms and on the gas dock as well. BAND INFOSneezy"Sneezy's sound is the perfect culmination of all things good in music. Jess Bess & The IntentionsJess Bess & The Intentions is a five-piece, multi-genre rock band that plays a variety of pop, funk, soul and groove. Their playlist is carefully nurtured for audiences that love to have fun and get their dancing feet moving! Fronted by singer Jessie Bess, the band was founded by drummer/actor Kevin Clark ("School of Rock"), who recently passed away in a biking accident in Chicago. A Note from The Boat House Fellow Boaters, We couldn't be more excited to present this incredible weekend of live music for the entire Chain O Lakes boating community to enjoy! We are asking that, wherever possible, you please police yourselves when it comes to parking, be courteous to your fellow boaters, and watch out for anchor lines. The concert will be in a temporary Slow No Wake area. Please be courteous when arriving and avoid sending rollers into the no wake zone.
