48th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes, Tea & Tour Special. 5 beautifully decorated homes and tea in the 1920's Bevel House at Chestnut Square
Each year, visitors flock to the famed McKinney Historic District to enjoy a self guided tour of five beautifully decorated and restored homes, including a stop at Chestnut Square to tour the museum homes and buildings, revel in holiday activities including music, craft sales and more. Tour maps and schedules will be available after November 15 for pick up, or you may pick up at the door the day of the event, or you may purchase the option to have them mailed.
Tea menu varies depending on date and time. An array of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, fruit, and pastries complete with tea and coffee service in our quaint 1920's reception house.
Tea and Tour specials available in July only. No transfer of tea times.
Chestnut Square Historic Village is a collection of six historic homes, a replica of a one-room school house, a chapel and store on 2.5 acres just south of the downtown McKinney square. The grounds also include a blacksmith shop, smoke house, and beautiful chapel and reception gardens. The buildings include period artifacts showing how people lived in Collin County from 1854-1930. Chestnut Square is owned by the Heritage Guild of Collin County, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your particpation in our events supports our educational programs, building maintenance and large museum collection including furniture, paintings. household items architectural pieces, book, and clothing.
