Facility Grounds Maintenance & Custodial Parks & Recreation Facilities POSITION OVERVIEW Operates & performs various types of daily & seasonal grounds keeping, custodial, janitorial tools & equipment for daily maintenance and cleaning of our recreation facilities. JOB DUTIES Conducts routine facilities maintenance, upkeep, and grounds cleaning, operates various types of maintenance equipment, hand & power tools, custodial/janitorial, (blowers, pressure washers, vacuums, drills, saws, etc.) • Removes and disposes of trash and debris from facilities & grounds. • Cleans and maintains public restroom & kitchen facilities. • Cleans and maintains facility tennis courts, gym, pool and office areas. • Changes' air filters, light bulbs, water filters, tennis court nets. • Minor painting, caulking (fences, gates, buildings). • Assembly of facility equipment (tables, benches, shelving). • Interacts daily with club patrons and facility members. • Performs cleanup of rental pavilions, picnic areas & rental clubhouse. • Assists in setting up tents, tables, chairs, inflatables & trash for special events. • Performs other related duties as assigned or required. • Works mostly outside in all weather & temperatures. MISC • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday and some weekends. • Occasional holiday's that includes holiday pay. • Occasional overtime authorized. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent. • Two (2) years custodial & janitorial or other related experience. • Valid Texas Driver's license with acceptable driving record. • Clean driving record (other than minor traffic). • Pre-employment drug screening is required. • Pre-employment background screening is required. • Be able to lift a minimum of 60LBS. • Able to work mostly outside in all-weather environments. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Customer service experience • Recreation facility experience (tennis, gym, pool, rental facilities) • Minor maintenance experience (painting, plumbing, etc.) SALARY & BENEFITS • Starting Salary: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour (DOQ&E). • Paid vacation after probationary period & paid holidays. • Paid employee Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance after probationary period. • Occasional employee bonuses.
