Bonanza Cat Hospital is looking for a Kennel Technician to join our team. We are cat only, family oriented practice which strives to provide outstanding quality care to our patients and clients. Potential candidates will have a genuine love and passion for animals (especially cats), be an extremely motivated team player, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Time management and the ability to multi-task are essential. Excellent communication needed with concise verbal and written skills. Experience in a kennel setting, whether it be a hospital, shelter, or boarding facility is preferred but not necessary. Open availability is a must, including weekends and holidays. Duties will include, but not be limited to: - Cleaning and sanitizing cages of hospitalized and boarding patients - Organizing and keeping track of food and supplies - Sweeping and mopping throughout the day - Washing dishes - Deep cleaning projects (windows, cupboards, etc.) weekly - Running laundry throughout the day - Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for animals and coworkers alike - Preparing and administering medications with supervision Applicants are expected to communicate efficiently and multitask. A willingness to learn and ability to listen and follow instructions are key. The job is physical, but extremely rewarding and fulfilling- we are willing to train the right applicant!
