PEABODY, MA — Peabody fire crews were the latest to make way for some stranded ducklings Monday afternoon. After a busy week battling a three-alarm blaze on Warren Street last week, and one hot Monday with 29 calls and 11 inspections, members of Local 925 finished the day with a special save as crews secured five baby ducks from a storm drain while "Momma Duck" patiently waited. Firefighters Devon Wolf, John Soares and Gregory Jordan led the way on the rescue. "They were reunited and happily on their way in no time," Peabody Local 925 said.
