Description

Cool down this summer by learning to make chilling herbal infusions It’s July. It’s Memphis. It’s hot. By this time every year, you’re sick of sweet tea, you’ve killed at least three handheld fans, and your icemaker is about to give up the ghost. What’s it take to cool off around here? Come to The Broom Closet on July 18 and learn to make cooling herbal infusions that you can serve hot or iced; refreshing fruit and herb waters that will keep you hydrated and happy; and, a homemade hibiscus refresher that will cool you down and replace those expensive electrolyte drinks you keep buying. There is a $15 energy exchange for this workshop. This event will be held in the downstairs event space of The Broom Closet. Erin Larrivee, a self-taught folk herbalist who has been practicing herbal and energetic healing for over 10 years, will walk you through her very own recipes to help make the Memphis summer a little more bearable. Workshop includes: select samples of recipes made that day; recipe cards to take home for reference; and, a pair of handcrafted herbal blends to take home and make for your friends and family to enjoy.
