Come join Park Ranger Todd Weston at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge as we discuss complicated issues of invasive species
Come join Park Ranger Todd Weston at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge as we discuss the complicated issues of invasive species in our area. We’ll learn about examples from the land, sea, and sky, discuss where they came from and how they got here, what harm they cause, and what we’re doing to help correct the issues they may cause. Discover why some plants and animals not historically found in our area cause harm and why other species have little to no impact. We hope the more people who understand the importance of healthy habitats and how invasive species can affect them the easier it will be to help protect our wild areas.
