All firecrackers are illegal including safe and sane fireworks such as sparklers. FIREWORKS ARE NOT LEGAL ANYWHERE IN CONTRA COSTA COUNTY. FINES CAN RANGE FROM $500.00 TO ???? depending on the gross weight of damage to any property. Richmond, California is offering rewards of $2500.00 for information leading to arrests for illegal use of any fireworks. Fines in Contra Costa: Antioch P.D. will fine $100.00 per each firecracker or bomb they find on your property. Perhaps, this will deter folks from shooting off firecrackers during this holiday.
