FREDERICKSBURG, VA — With COVID-19 metrics improved from earlier in 2021, many 4th of July celebrations will be returning. Fireworks will be held at 9 p.m. on the Fourth of July at the FredNats Ballpark. Other events around Fredericksburg and Stafford County are also returning after a hiatus forced by the coronavirus pandemic. The Independence Day holiday falls on Sunday, July 4, which also means Monday, July 5 will be the observed holiday for closures. The City of Fredericksburg's government offices will be closed on July 5, and other services will have schedule changes.
