Introduction to Handmade Journals Whatever you may call them "Keepsake Journals," "Junk Journals," "Memory Journals"... this class is an introduction to making a handmade journal to write/draw in to express yourself (or they make lovely gifts). This class has all the materials needed to make a handmade signature that can be customized to fit into a hard bound cover. You can later keep adding signatures to create a thicker journal. You can also customize it to fit your interests. We will begin with the basic layout and then you can customize it as much as you would like afterwards. Feel free to bring some things with you if you want to make a themed journal (examples: family recipes, vacation mementoes, family reunion photos, wedding/honeymoon memorabilia, Harry Potter etc.). When you leave this class you will have a journal that measures roughly 6" x 9" with one signature. This journal can hold up to three signatures, so you can add more after you leave the craft studio or you can join our weekly journal group that meets at the same time. Space is limited for this introductory class as well as for the weekly group, so do not hesitate! *** Take home grab bags will be available for additional purchase.
