JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of your job position is to ensure day-to-day maintenance of Sierra Care Clovis in accordance with the local and state and guidelines and regulations and as may be directed by the Administrator to assure that CLHF is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent. 2. Two (2) years experience in a maintenance department in a healthcare facility preferred. 3. Training in environmental control practices and procedures preferred but not required. 4. Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the nursing care facility. 5. Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc. of the Housekeeping Department. Essential Functions: 1. Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary, as well as in other positions as needed 2. Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of work areas. Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety, and proper performance of equipment . 3. Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of supervising maintenance tasks. 4. Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions of assigned personnel. 5. Assist in developing procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks. 6. Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas. 7. Submit accident/incident reports to the director on the shift in which they occurred. 8. Perform administrative requirements (i.e. completing necessary forms, reports, etc.) and submit to the Administrator/Director of Nursing as necessary. 9. Train assigned personnel in the proper techniques of maintenance services, use of equipment, etc. as directed. 10. Ensure that maintenance personnel follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
