By Elizabeth Ireland, Times of San Diego June 29, 2021 The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 56 new COVID-19 infections Monday and no deaths from the pandemic disease. Out of 5,294 test results received in the past day, 1.1% were positive and the 14-day rolling average of positive tests held steady at 1%. The county's total number of coronavirus cases since 2020 grew to 282,416. The death toll remained at 3,780. The number of fully vaccinated residents is 1,861,261 million, putting the county at 88.5% of the goal to vaccinate 2.1 million people ages 12 and older. A full list of available vaccination sites can be found at www.sandiegocounty.gov. The county announced last week it will phase out some vaccination sites due to a significant drop in demand for COVID-19 vaccines.
