ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police were called late last week about a report of animal neglect at a local business, according to a police report. The officer notified county animal control, which will take over the investigation, the report said. The alleged neglect, which was reported Thursday, was at 299 N. York St., which has been the site of a pet business. Patch left messages with the business Tuesday. Elmhurst Patch has filed a public records request for the police report.
