Vincent Vineyards Cellar Hand Description:
We are looking for a cellar hand/intern for either a first time experience at a winery, or someone that wants more experience at a small production winery. Candidate will be tasked with most of the manual labor in the day to day winemaking in the cellar during harvest.
Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and sanitizing
• Receiving and processing fruit
• Making additions to juice and wine
• Pump-overs, wine transfers, racking, topping, etc.
• Other general winery/sanitation tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Ability to work all shifts as needed, as well as overtime if requested
• Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
• Ability to comprehend and carry out oral and written instructions with written detail in English
• Must be able to frequently stand, crouch, bend, walk up and down stairs, climb ladders, etc. as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Working in both an indoor and outdoor environment (exposure to elements such as wind, sun, and rain may apply)
• Ability to work in confined spaces or at varying heights
• Ability to perform tasks efficiently and safely
• Must have reliable transportation
• Previous cellar experience is preferred, but not required
