Order Picker Position Tom Auto Parts, Inc. is an auto parts distributor and ecommerce retailer. We are now hiring motivated and reliable individuals for full time order picker/cherry picker operators. We have day and night shifts open for experienced (preferred certified) equipment operators in our climate-controlled warehouse. Compensation • $14.50 to $16.00 plus attendance bonus Qualifications • Monday through Friday 1st shift and some Saturday opening. • Monday through Thursday night shift openings (4 days 10 hours). • Education – Highschool Diploma or equivalent. • Experience – 1+ years in warehouse environment preferred. (will train the right individual) • Language Skills – Read, write, and speak English. Spanish speaking a plus. • Detail Oriented - Excellent attention to detail is imperative. • Math Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. • Computer Skills – Windows, Office and warehousing software programs. • Handheld Scanner experience preferred. • Communication Skills – Effective listening skills, follow directions, positive attitude. • Auto parts experience is a preferred. • Warehouse shipping or receiving experience preferred. • Stand -up high reach picker experience required; certification is desired. • Being comfortable working at heights up to 30 ‘ • Responsible ADULT mentality • Good attendance record. Job Duties An Order Picker, or Picker Packer, is responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. Their duties include operating Order Picker and other heavy machinery, updating inventory counts and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill and order. The following are the duties and responsibilities of an Order Picker: • Collecting order notes to fulfill deliveries • Picking out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, etc. • Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in envelopes or boxes • Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations • Loading delivery vehicles • Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved • Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage • Performing general warehouse duties as necessary • Work at a fast pace and maintain accuracy to meet company metrics. • Recognize and correct stocking mislabel • Follow standard picking procedures in moving any inventory. • Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout warehouse. • Other maintenance and housekeeping tasks as required.
