Why DDI? • Exceptional benefits for full time & part time • Tuition reimbursement • Flexible schedules & generous time off • We are a diverse team of people inspired by purpose • Competitive health, retirement and educational benefits As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will: • Complete work orders and job assignments. • Interact appropriately and politely with all staff and clients. • Offer suggestions on how best to maintain buildings and homes. • Identify and repair all potential safety, maintenance or citation issue. • Keep appropriate records and receipts. • Perform all aspects of work in the Maintenance Dept. on an “as needed” basis (mop calls, landscaping, painting, cleaning, etc.). We require: • Skills in one of the following trades: Carpenter, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting and/or Landscaping. • Valid NYS driver’s license required 18+ months and approved to drive DDI vehicles. • Lift and carry minimum of 30lbs. • Ability to stand on minimum 6 ft. ladder. • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. • Must be available for occasional evening/night/weekend projects as assigned • On call 24-7 for all agency emergencies. Must be available for snow and ice removal. • Must be flexible to stay late, or come in early or work weekends for projects or agency events as assigned.
