PETS and July 4th PLEASE place BUCKETS of WATER in your front yard by the street to help all the scared and loose pets as a result of the fireworks. Can we do this for a week? And if you are really thoughtful maybe change it out to keep cool. This is the least we can do for the ones that are scared and running. Remember shelters are full and I don’t know which local shelters are no kill or kill but euthanasia rates are increasing as people have returned to work surrendering their pets because “situations have changed and we no longer have time”. Also, if you capture them on security cameras, please post to all the social media sites and include date, time and nearest cross street. Better yet is to place them in a secure back yard. And if you loose a pet also look under Craigs List both pets category and Lost and found. IF WE REALLY WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, not only for pet safety but for our first responders think about celebrating on the 4th only. And reduce the amount that is set off. It will be a win win.
