Description
Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director, and working with the athletic department staff to ensure the smooth operation of the stockroom, the Athletic Stockroom Coordinator plays a critical role in the oversight of the operations associated with equipment and apparel needs for all interscholastic athletic teams.
This is a non-exempt, benefitted position scheduled for approximately 40 hours per week during the academic year.
Primary responsibilities include: maintain equipment and uniforms for athletic teams to ensure availability for practices and games; assist the Associate Athletic Director to introduce technology and electronic record keeping system for inventory and ordering purposes; oversee equipment and uniform issue and return processes with student-athletes and coaches; establish schedule for all teams to return equipment in a timely manner; collaborate with Finance Office to issue student charges for unreturned uniforms and equipment; communicate inventory needs and equipment rotation to Athletic office; responsible for uniform laundering, maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom area; communicate with coaches regarding game-day operations including distribution/return of uniforms and equipment; collaborate with the Equipment Manager and Associate Athletic Director to ensure equipment and uniforms are in-stock before preseason practices and assign uniform numbers to teams to organize rosters.
Qualifications include: completion of 12th grade or equivalent, Associate’s Degree preferred; 1-3 years’ experience in a customer service role, experience with team athletics and knowledge of team sports preferred, excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team and evenings and weekend work is required.
