Acoustic Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Seeks Female Singer
Meets
Tacoma WA
Description
Very accomplished acoustic male guitarist/singer seeking a very talented female singer to form acoustic duo for music collaboration and live performances. Huge emphasis on harmonies. Extra bonus if you also play an instrument like fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, dobro, bass, percussion, or all of the aforementioned? ;-) Vocals are most important though especially if you are proficient at singing harmony and hopefully lead as well. Initial emphasis would be on working up a slew of covers to start gigging but am also interested in playing originals and hopefully collaborating on writing new songs. My musical influences and interests are (but not limited to) Americana, Roots, Outlaw Country, Blues, Folk, Soul, and Classic Rock. Some of my favorite artists include Avett Brothers, Tom Petty, Jason Isbell, Patti Griffin, Elton John, Kacey Musgraves, Keb’ Mo’, Eagles, Nathaniel Rateliff, Lake Street Dive, John Prine, Brandi Carlile, Mandolin Orange, Jackson Browne, First Aid Kit, Paul Simon, Sarah Jarosz, The Wailin’ Jennys, Head and the Heart, Miranda Lambert, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Keith Urban, Sturgill Simpson, Hayes Carl, Neko Case, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, James McMurtry, Bill Withers, Josh Ritter, Turnpike Troubadours, Bruce Springsteen, Tyler Childers, Gillian Welch, Lord Huron, The Police, The Band, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, and Larkin Poe, to name a few… ;-) A bit about me… I am sort of semi-retired and live in Tacoma and on Whidbey Island where I work part-time at a winery and manage their music venue. I've been playing guitar since my teens and also have a degree in music. At this point in my life, I mostly want to play and perform music and can easily do so on my own but would prefer to share the stage with at least one other singer who can round out the richness of the sound and enhance the overall musical experience. I’m also open to collaborating with a male singer and/or instrumentalist if you’re able to sing higher harmonies but prefer the sound and timbre of a male/female vocal collaboration. If any of this resonates with you, feel free to email me with your musical story. I look forward to hearing from you!
