Help!❗ Adopter needed by 7/1/21 or I will be put down in shelter❗️ Hi, I'm Minka🐾 (dog friendly...intro required.). Sadly, I am set to be euthanized Thursday, July 1st at 8 am. One of the saddest reasons a dog can be E-listed is because they are mentally breaking down in the shelter environment. This is happening to me. I’m stressed, and it is inhumane to keep me here in this condition. My days are numbered...will you come and meet me before I get put to sleep? I want a loving home and someone to save my life! I'm a cutie petitie! (44 lbs). I am a 2-year-old, spayed, tan and white American Pit Bull Terrier. When I came to the shelter as a homeless stray, I was fearful, afraid of being touched, and avoidant and nervous about being leashed. But!, I have come a long way since then! I am easy to leash, approach people with tail wags, and I love to play with them (I'm less timid with people I know). I love to be petted and will lean in to get more, and I am very treat-motivated and take them gently. My dog-to-dog evaluation notes said I wagged my tail when I saw the other dogs and coexisted with them, but I didn’t relax or seek interaction. My notes also say that I didn’t do well when I met a customer’s large dog, so maybe no big dogs for me. The shelter recommends I have an experienced adopter that will go slow with me, in-home training, and an entire family introduction. The shelter requires that children in the home be 12+, that I have a dog introduction, and that I have a Behavior Team consult before leaving. Will you make an appointment to come and meet me soon?
