I have a client who is trying to hire 20 new construction laborers that wish to be trained on how to become cable technicians to work a new project happening in Altoona, Iowa on a 4 month contract-to-hire role. This position will have you do general construction duties while also teach you how to do the following: • Conduit Running and Bending • Pull, Term, Test - CAT-5, CAT-6 • Hang AP’s • Install J Hooks • Read blue prints Due to the nature of this job, there will be some hard requirements: • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to climb ladders and insert cable in Access Points. • Lift 50+lbs • Must be able to follow directions and learn • Must have prior commercial new construction experience • Will need to have a laptop & phone to complete training from home (This training takes two days to complete and they will be paid minimum wage during this time. You will follow along with the Safety Manager to complete the training together.) • No felonies or misdemeanors in the past 7 years • Must pass 10 panel drug screening • Must have reliable transportation to and from work If this is something that you wish to talk about further, please get back to me with a newly updated resume as well as a time you are available to talk for 10-15 minutes.
