Groundskeeper/Handy Person with Carpentry Skills/Caretaker in Princeville up to $30/hr + Benefits Compensation: Salary Commensurate With Experience and Skills Salary Range: This position ranges between $20 - $30 per hour, plus benefits. Please include salary expectations in response. The position is under the direction of the site manager. We are looking for a full time employee with either the experience or willingness to learn how to support and care for a 50 unit condominium property that is home to owners, long term tenants and vacation renters. Preferred candidates will have experience in multiple areas, including general property caretaking; building inspection, maintenance and repair; groundskeeping; carpentry and painting skills; and pool maintenance. The person must be energetic, detail-oriented, a willingness to learn new skills as needed and have a positive attitude. A plus if you have basic skills in light construction. Sample duties include: Edging walkways, trimming vegetation, establishing new vegetation, clearing debris from grounds and parking areas, fertilizing and composting hedges, bushes, plant beds (including lawn areas) as needed, reporting and replacing any damaged/destroyed vegetation. Keeping lawns green and mowed as needed and all flora healthy and in good appearance. Applies organic and earth friendly treatments when viable. Performs general carpentry and painting for railings, stairs, lanais, pool, buildings and infrastructure. Maintains small gas powered equipment (e.g. lawn mowers, weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, etc); repairs equipment as needed or directed. Take down natural environmental hazards. Ensure that the common refuse collection areas are maintained, clean, and in working order. Occasional maintenance related to grounds such as parking area striping, sidewalk repair, pressure washing, and rubbish receptacle painting. Willing to train the right candidate.
