We are an Independent Service Provider under FedEx. Most of FedEx’s packages are delivered by small businesses like our own. These ISP’s are contracted to deliver FedEx packages for home delivery, and we are one of many independent contractors at the terminal in Barrington. We own the trucks and coordinate the delivery of the packages through our team of highly dedicated individuals. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS: FedEx requires an intensive background check; all employees must be able to fulfill the following requirements: • You must have a valid driver's license • You must be 21 years or older • Successfully pass a drug test (FedEx provides the test at a local medical office). • Successfully pass a doctor provided physical (FedEx provides the exam at a local medical office). • Successfully pass a criminal background check. • Clean MVR (will be run as part of the application process, must have minimal moving violations and less than one accident within the past 5 years). • 1 year of verifiable professional driving experience within the past 3 years, OR be willing to complete our online school (no cost to you, at the convenience of your home on your own time). (FedEx will use a third-party company, First Advantage to complete this step) Job Description: Drivers deliver packages in predetermined areas dispatching from Barrington NJ. Drivers are expected to maintain a safe driving record, positive team environment, and high customer service expectation. Essential Functions: To be considered, you must meet the following requirements: • Must have strong customer service skills • Ability to stand, drive and lift packages during entire shift, excluding meal and rest period • Ability to move and lift up to 150 pounds • Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members • Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction Growth Potential for Your Future: Dedicated workers have the potential to grow with our company.
