Description

A mid-summer women's mountain bike ride and post-party hosted by Pivot Cycles and Wild Rye. The Sunset Shred series is coming to Boulder! Add to your peak summer mountain biking experiences at the All Women's Sunset Shred in Boulder, hosted by Sports Garage Cycling.   Sponsored by our partners Wild Rye and Pivot Cycles, we will be taking twenty lucky women on a high vibes backyard ride and post-party. This guided ride experience will begin and end at the A-Lodge in Lyons, Colorado, with two unique ride options at Hall Ranch. A short warm-up pedal will take us to the Antelope trail, where we'll head up for a lap on the picturesque Nelson Loop, finishing with two different descending options based on rider skill level. Both routes and recommended skills are detailed below!   Everyone will rendezvous at A-Lodge for a post-ride cocktails and shwag from Wild Rye, Pivot, and Sports Garage.  "What skill level is necessary? "Option A: "Blue" The Hall Ranch Intermediate Loop is a blue trail, and mostly intermediate riding.   The trail features a combination of flow trail, a few switchbacks, and a variety of rock features.   The trail surface is both smooth dirt and "kitty litter" in places. Riders will want to be comfortable with single track width, intermediate climbing  and some small rock step ups.  The route is a lollipop: we will climb and descend the Antelope Trail, with a lap on the Nelson Loop, which has beautiful views of Long's Peak, and some fun and flowy descending. Option B: "Black" The Hall Ranch Classic route shares the majority of the same trails as the Hall Ranch Intermediate Loop. We will climb the Antelope Trail, do a lap on the beautiful Nelson Loop, and return halfway to the group's starting point, turning south on the Bitterbrush Trail. Here the trail climbs a bit more to the top of a rollicking descent enjoyed by intermediate/advanced riders. The Bitterbrush descent features technical features including "the rock garden", and riders should be comfortable with 10" - 12" drops, choosing technical lines, and descending in rocky terrain. "Can I demo a bike? " Pivot Cycles will have a selection of demo bikes available for the Sunset Shred. Make reservations by visiting Pivot Cycles' Demo Locator. This free event will fill fast, so register today!   E-mail [email protected] for more information.    Other 2021 Sunset Shred Series events: Park City, Utah | August 5thTustin, California | TBD We planted the seeds of SG’s culture, literally, in the dirt: single track , roads less traveled, grit in the teeth.  Established in 1994, we introduced Boulder to Yeti, Santa Cruz, Pivot,  Juliana, and Rocky Mountain, our core mountain bike brands.  OPEN and Parlee complete our collection of hand-selected gravel bikes.  With the most comprehensive full suspension demo fleet, and Boulder's only in-house full service suspension studio, we maintain the highest level of customer service integrity.  Our team is passionate about off-road riding and the legacy of the local bike shop.
