Ascending to Health's Grilled Cheese/Craft Beer Pairing Festival! Top breweries and restaurants team up, create unique pairings and compete! The third annual Gourmet Grilled Cheese & Craft Beer pairing festival is coming back for 2021! Be sure to mark your calendars for October 15 because we have some amazing local businesses that are sure to create some delicious pairings. This year's event will feature 9 pairings from top breweries and restaurants, with one pairing to be crowned people's choice! In addition to the local offerings, there will be live music (band TBA) and a beautiful 4-acre garden area to explore at Hillside Gardens & Event Center. The event is a fundraiser to benefit Ascending to Health Respite Care (ATHRC). The only homeless respite care center in El Paso County, ATHRC's mission is to end episodic and long term homelessness through medical respite care for homeless individuals discharged from local hospitals. Through partnership with local hospitals, we take in homeless individuals that would otherwise be discharged back to the streets. ATHRC provides a place of recovery with access to medical staff, case management and other resources to aid in recovery and hopefully a permanent housing solution to end their homelessness. Being a non-profit, ATHRC relies on grants and proceeds from fundraising events just like this! Help give back to the community while participating in one of the coolest events of the year!
