Description
Please join us for our Georgetown Mountain Jams concert series! The Town of Georgetown and the Georgetown Cultural Arts Program are pleased to present Georgetown Mountain Jams 2021! Please join us Saturday July 10th at the Library Park Stage on the SW corner of 6th St. and Rose St, artists/bands will perform from 1:00-4:00 PM. This Saturday we are featuring Americana musician Jack Yoder. The Music Blog 40wattgigolo.com labeled award winning Jack Yoder “an undiscovered American Treasure”. His Solo Shows work their way through Americana and finger-style Blues. 2020, even with all it’s challenges, turned out to be a very productive year. Jack finished and released the 12 track album, Wagonload, in June. And in December he released the single, Pancho and Lefty and a three song EP, Oddities. He also did some producing, mixing and mastering for several acts including The Bourbon Jockey and Scooter James. Other recent releases include Western Abyss, Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts (2019), Scarecrow, Ol' Hickory (2015), a solo EP Music Flows North, on 40 Watt Records (2015) and the award winning independent release, Songs We Don't Know, Jack Yoder & The 2 Piece Suit (2012). Jack is a seasoned singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist playing more than 100+ live shows a year (in normal times). His original material is heavily influenced by Americana acts such as Robert Earl Keen, John Prine, Guy Clark, Hayes Carll, Steve Earle, The Turnpike Troubadours and The Drive By Truckers. Red Dirt acts the likes of Reckless Kelly, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Stoney LaRue. And Blues artists such as Muddy Waters, Lightnin Hopkins and R.L Burnside. In 2015 he started Georgetown Sound Recording Studio and followed that with the launch of Southbound Records in 2016 with the release of the first single (a cover of Hank Williams Six More Miles) by Jack Yoder & The Ramblin’ Shakes. Please join us in beautiful Historic downtown Georgetown for a great outdoor concert! Georgetown Heritage Center, in the restored 1874 Georgetown school, is a place to celebrate our past, exhibit and learn traditional and fine arts, enjoy live concerts and performances, attend lectures, and hold meetings and conferences.
