The Gatton Academy will host it's first Preview Day of the fall semester on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Central) Preview Days are a wonderful opportunity for prospective applicants and their families to meet with current Gatton students and their parents, visit our campus, and gain a better understanding of student life at The Gatton Academy. Families will meet in Florence Schneider Hall on WKU's campus beginning at 9:30 AM CST. The information session will begin at 10 AM CST.  Activities for the day will include a campus tour as well as parent and student question-and-answer panels. The deadline to RSVP is September 17th, 2021. The mission of The Gatton Academy is to offer a residential program for bright, highly motivated Kentucky high school students who have demonstrated interest in pursuing advanced careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Gatton Academy also seeks to provide its students with the companionship of peers; to encourage students to develop the creativity, curiosity, reasoning ability, and self-discipline that lead to independent thought and action; and to aid students in developing integrity that will enable them to benefit society. The goal is to enable Kentucky’s exceptional young scientists and mathematicians to learn in an environment which offers advanced educational opportunities, preparing them for leadership roles in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In 2011,The Gatton Academy was ranked among the nation's top five high schools by Newsweek magazine.
