Due to life changes, we must re-home our wonderful, sweet Great Pyrenees, Samson.
Samson is a 7 year-old adult male, in excellent health, neutered, chipped, and up to date on his shots (due in May, 2022). The vet we have been using is Pend Oreille Veterinarian Services in Ponderay.
Samson has a typical Great Pyrenees personality: affectionate to his family, good tempered, strong-willed, independent problem solver, takes his guarding job very seriously, nocturnal, barks during day or night to warn away all predatory animals or strangers, protective of family members, suspicious of strangers but friendly once family lets him know they are “friends.” He will roam if not kept in a fenced yard, as is indicative of the GP breed.
We want to find a loving home for him in the North Idaho area. We are seeking a family that will appreciate his GP personality traits and guardianship characteristics, as well as his calm and affectionate demeanor, who is willing to work with us on a smooth transition from our home to theirs.
