Adam and Micki from Handi Quilter are here to show you how easy longarm quilting can be! Long arm quilting, what is it? Have you been looking for a long arm and not sure which one is right for you or maybe just wondering if long arm quilting is your thing. HERE'S THE CHANCE TO TRY IT AND SEE. We are offering a two day hands on long arm retreat so you can get all your long arm questions answered. Two Handi Quilter Nationals Educators (Adam Rateliff and Micki Chappelear) will be here with 12 machines to get you that hands-on time, so you can make the right decision for you. Day 1 starts with long arm basics, where we go over the machines, upkeep, tension, needles, and thread. In the afternoon, we hit the ground running with free motion quilting. YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE! They will take you through the tips and tricks to get the best results. With their upbeat attitudes and engaging teaching styles, you will feel comfortable and read to take over the quilt world. Day 2 starts with the computerized system, Pro-Stitcher. Adam says he finds most people are scared to even touch the screen, so he takes you deep into the program, has the class stitch together and shows you how easy it really is. No more fear here. Then we end with Micki teaching you all about rulers and ruler safety. She will show you tips to stay safe and ways to look outside the box with rulers and create your own designs.
