Join us for a company kickoff and be the champion our community needs in the fight against Alzheimer's and Dementia. We invite you to join others in the community passionate about giving back and supporting all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias. Come learn more about the work of the Alzheimer's Association, and what you can do to make a difference. Alzheimer's Association Capital of Texas has been serving Central Texas for over 30 years. The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. We work on a global, national and local level to enhance care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.  Every 65 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in Texas, and through continued research, we plan to find a cure. Until then we provide care and support to close to 50,000 people with the disease and close to 120,000 of their caregivers in Central Texas. This past year we received well over 1800 calls from individuals in this community through our Helpline number. We delivered education programs and services to close to 1100 unduplicated individuals either over phone conferencing or in person in both English and Spanish.
