This month we will hear from Jill Smith (Union Bank, Community Outreach & Education Officer) and Paige Piper (Executive Director, the Child Advocacy Center). They will be discussing how this unique yet impactful collaboration can benefit both organizations and elevate your company's culture. We look forward to hearing them speak at the Child Advocacy Center. This month's meeting will be sure to leave you informed of the great work of the CAC and also inspired to find a non-profit organization that your business can collaborate with! Paige Piper, Executive Director – Child Advocacy Center  Paige Piper has served as the Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center since June of 2020. She is responsible for agency oversight including budgeting and fundraising, program development, strategic planning and execution, and leadership and management of staff. Prior to assuming the role of Executive Director, Paige worked for Bulu, Inc. as the Marketing and New Business Director where she worked closely with the team to create and pitch multi-million dollar business plans to companies such as Disney, Crayola and Clorox. Paige previously served at the Child Advocacy Center in the role of Development Director where she performed fundraising activities, including donor development, grant writing, corporate outreach, special events, and print and digital marketing and advertising. She is currently a member of the Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers Board of Directors, as well as the Lincoln Arts Council. Paige has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Nebraska Wesleyan University and is completing her Master of Arts in Communication at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.   Jill Smith, Community Outreach & Education Officer – Union Bank & Trust Jill Smith has been employed by Union Bank & Trust since 2004, currently working within Marketing as the Community Outreach & Education Officer. Jill is responsible for the overseeing Union Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility, which includes their Community Involvement, Charitable Giving, Financial Literacy, Outreach Loans, and Magic Moments Programs. Prior to this role, Jill coordinated the bank’s customer and community events. Recognizing a need for resources, education, and networking for event professionals, Smith founded EventLNK in 2012 and serves as the Board of Directors, Current Past President. She also serves as Vice President on the Child Advocacy Center’s (CAC) Board of Directors. Previously, Smith was selected to serve as a board member for UNL HRTM Advisory Board, United Way Fund Distribution, Ignite Lincoln, Lincoln YPG Leadership Council, Volunteer Partners and Community Volunteer Council, and served as the Volunteer Coordinator for Guinness World Record Lincoln Log Project, Event Coordinator for Grand Opening of Union Plaza with Lincoln Parks & Recreation, and Logistics Coordinator for the Live. Love. Lincoln. video. Lincoln YPG and Lincoln Chamber of Commerce presented Smith the 4 Under 40 Award in 2013. Lincoln's event networking group, EventLNK, is dedicated to bringing together Lincoln's event professionals by providing education and resources to enhance and support professional growth.
