2021 National Buffalo Soldiers Day brings global attention to Union Square and contributions by Buffalo Soldiers throughout California. It is time to fully engage the Biden/Harris Administration through Secretary Deb Haaland, United States Department of Interior and Secretary Tom Vilsack, United States Department of Agriculture to implement ways to effectively commemorate the California Buffalo Soldiers and their role in helping to protect, build, and preserve California National Parks, as well as to ascertain the suitability and feasibility of potential historic sites, national landmarks, and a national historic trail related to their work.
