Dive into the world of beauty at the IMA teen summer camp. Learn about the careers of makeup artists and beauty trends and techniques! We are so excited to offer the IMA Summer camp! This camp is designed for teens ages 14-17. Camp Schedule : July 15-18,10:00 am- 2:00 pm IMA instructors will inspire teens to tap into their creative sides while developing a beginner Makeup Artist skill set! Curriculum: The curriculum is an abbreviated version of our regular courses. We will cover: Makeup History - Learn the origins of makeup application and the styles of American history. Makeup trends tend to come back year after year and this is a great lesson for anyone interested in doing period makeup for Theatre or TV and Film.Careers in Makeup - We’ll discuss multiple revenue streams for Makeup Artists. This is a great lesson to find what niche our students are interested in and also to give them guidance on how to make income from their interest in Makeup.Skin Care - Great makeup starts with adequate skincare. Students will learn the various skin types and how to apply skincare products for a healthy complexion. Artist Essentials (Tools, hygiene and sanitation) - We’ll break down everything from makeup brushes to how long you can keep makeup before it expires. We’ll also cover proper hygiene on applying makeup to others along with updated Covid-19 precautions.Matching foundation - Students will learn how to properly match foundation to their skintone as well as others. This is a fundamental aspect of makeup application.Trendy Eyeshadow techniques and other applications - Students love learning the latest trends for eyeshadow as well as applications that suit certain eye types and colors.Mini Special Effects - This hands on lesson teaches students how to great basic special effects such as bruises and cuts. This is a great background for those interested in Halloween and Cosplay, and also essential for Theatre and TV/Film.Photo Shoot of your work - The final portion of the course is a professional photoshoot where students can showcase their skills and have the beginning of their professional portfolio.​For most of the class, students will work on themselves, and dummies.
