J.P. Industries, Inc., is seeking a floor technician, who can buff, scrub, strip and or wax floors at Davis Monthan, AFB, Tucson, Arizona Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Reports directly to the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager. • Must achieve thorough understanding of buffing, stripping floors, waxing, and identifying different flooring types. • Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include floor buffer/ burnishing, water extraction machine, Auto Scrubber, and carpet cleaning equipment. • Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM. • Scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors. • Follow established JPI safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. • Use proper PPE and safety equipment as required. • Must be punctual and dedicated to work. Qualifications: • Experience is desired but not mandatory. • Ability to stand, walk, push, kneel, twist and reach. • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 55lbs. • Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses. • Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn. • The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must. • Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude. • Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time. • Must have a valid AZ driver’s license. • Must have reliable transportation. • Previous custodian experience a plus. • The ability to work a full-time position (40 hours/week) • Must pass a E-Verify. Schedule • 8-hour PM shift • Monday - Friday • Occasional weekends Education: • Completion of at least eighth grade education or equivalent is desired. • Must be able to effectively communicate and understand job related instructions.
