Kayak / Canoe-Based Cleanup at Kaw Point

Bring your kayak or canoe and help us clean up trash that has been picked up by flood waters along the Kansas River. Meet at the Kaw Point Boat Ramp in KCK at 9:00 AM. We will do introductions and a brief safety orientation, then boats in the water by 10:00. We will spend a couple of hours picking up trash that has made its way down the Kansas River due to all the rain we've had. We will bag the trash and bring it back to Kaw Point Park to be picked up by WyCo waste systems. Please bring your kayak or canoe, appropriate shoes (no flip-flops), water bottle / drinks, sunscreen, a boating hat, and your smiles. We will provide work gloves, bags and lunch.
