Description
**Please read the entirety of the post and apply the way outlined below. Any other replies will be ignored. Thanks!** Do you like dogs? Do you like hiking? Do you communicate well via the phone, talking, text, and email? Are you responsible and trustworthy without a whole lot of oversight? Are you fully covid vaccinated? If yes to all of the above, read on. Want to go hiking with dogs and get paid for it? Are you available on weekdays between 9AM-4PM and want most of your evenings and weekends free? You must own a car capable of transporting 6 (+) dogs comfortably (Pickups with shells and cars with hatchbacks are great). You must have a clean driver's license, a smart phone with gps, text and data, a strong love for dogs and hiking, a focus on safety and an excellent work ethic. You must be fully covid vaccinated and have proof. You should be comfortable with dogs and confident that you can handle up to 6 of them on a leash (and off), ranging in size from 10 lbs to 150 lbs. You'll be hiking 2-4 miles per hour-long hike, and up to 2 hikes a day, once you're fully up and running. We hike rain or shine. A history and expectation of exemplary attendance is a must. Diablo Dog Walking is a small company, which has operated in Contra Costa County for 8+ years and prior to that the owner has 12 years of animal training experience. We are close with our clients and take our responsibility to them and their humans very seriously. Please include with your email - a resume, a photo of your actual vehicle, proof of covid vaccination, and a cover letter. After an initial interview we'll have you join a hike so you can see what the job entails. If you get the position, after a few paid assisting hikes you will begin with a few dogs and one walk per day, and it will grow over the next couple weeks until you have two full hikes (up to 6 dogs) per day, each weekday. I'd suggest you take a look at our website (The video and gallery especially) to get an idea of what we do. The Facebook page is also a good real time representation: You will be an independent contractor. You will be responsible for your own equipment (leashes, water bowl, pack), and gas. Once you see how we operate, we take care of providing clients and scheduling, and you take it from there. Thank you! Matt
