FRANKLIN, WI— Franklin Field, home of the Milwaukee Milkmen, is finding itself atop the brackets of a nationwide fan vote for the best minor league ballpark, the Milkmen announced on Facebook.
The field has reached the championship round of Ballpark Digest's fan vote for the best MLB Partner Leagues stadium. To arrive at the championship round, Franklin Field first beat multiple other professional baseball fields in five separate voting rounds, according to Ballpark Digest.
Franklin Field is now going neck-to-neck with the Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Ballpark Digest said. The Clipper Magazine Stadium is last year's defending champion of the competition, but Franklin Field has made its way to the final round with ease, according to Ballpark Digest.
Clipper Magazine Stadium currently has the edge over Franklin Field, but voting ends Thursday and fans can vote once per day, according to Baseball Digest.
Franklin Field is home to the Milwaukee Milkmen, a member of the American Association of Professional Baseball, its website said. The team regularly puts on family friendly and fan-oriented games, according to its website.
