FIT4MOM has teamed up with local children's authors to bring you Local Author Storytime in the Park! Join us for weekly fun this summer. Join us at 10AM at Anderson Playground at the Kate Jackson center (under the trees behind the basketball court) for our Local Author Storytime at the Park Series! We will have free activities and storytime each week at 10AM during the months of July & August. This week's book: Alana's Great Dream Adventure Alana’s Great Dream Adventure is a bilingual (English and Spanish) fun, easy-to-read for beginners as well as advanced readers. In this adventure, Alana meets someone special from another time period, and travels to another country. Explore and learn on this incredible adventure! About the Author J. Desiree Rodriguez is from the Metropolitan Area of Northern Virginia. Her passion for writing manifested into publishing her first book at the age of 17. Desiree earned her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Communication and is currently a Doctoral Candidate. Her passion has always encompassed creative writing. With a cultural background of Afro-Latina descent, inspired Desiree to write bilingual children's books.
