Come together to cool off and throw biodegradable water balloons from forts of cardboard in an epic battle of endurance! Each summer our District's cub scout units come together to cool off and throw biodegradable water balloons from forts of cardboard in an epic battle of endurance! SCHEDULE 1:00 PM - Arrive & Set-Up Forts 2:00 PM - Battle Begins ~3:00 PM - Battle Ends & Kona Ice Time 4:00 PM - Clean-Up & Leave DETAILS Each participating youth must pre-register for the event: this will provide them BSA insurance coverage for the event, a supply of at least 50 pre-filled water balloons, and an unlimited refill cup from Kona Ice (FREE refills available during the event and $3 refills anytime after at a Kona Ice truck)! This event is open to any youth ages 5-11even if they haven't officially joined cub scouts yet, come join us! This event will be in the heat of the afternoon, please bring enough water to keep you and your scout(s) well hydrated before, during, and after the battle. After the battle is over and we've all cooled off, we will line up and "police" the soccer field to Leave No Trace by disposing of our trash properly. RESTRICTIONS No handheld slingshot-style launchers are allowed. Units may bring two-person elastic balloon launchers; each launcher must be inspected before the event to confirm proper operating condition, be operated under adult supervision, and will not be fired directly at anyone (must be used long-range "mortar-style"). A Kona Ice truck will be on-site to purchase additional treats for non-participants. Each pack is responsible for bringing their own fort supplies and hauling away their trash after the event.
