Individuals Sought For HCPSS Math Academic Advisory Committee

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Parents, guardians, community members, high school students and Howard County Public School System staff members are being sought to serve on the school district's mathematics academic advisory committee. Advisory committee members share their expertise and exchange ideas to promote continuous improvement of the instructional program for all students and provide guidance and advocacy for the mathematics-related programs. The committee also supports the HCPSS strategic call to action by helping ensure all students have access to high quality mathematics education and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to apply mathematics skills in daily life. Members serve a two-year, renewable term. The committee will meet virtually at 3:30 p.m. on the following dates during the 2021-2022 school year: Sept. 30, 2021

 Individuals interested in joining the committee should submit a statement of interest online by Aug. 19. A confirmation email with additional details will be sent to the individuals selected to participate on the committee.
