Merrimack Police Investigate Crash Into Tree, Rock Wall

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack fire and police responded to a report of a 2-vehicle accident on Turkey Hill Road near Iris Drive on Monday. When units arrived on the scene it was determined to be a single-vehicle crash, and a tree was down in the road. Merrimack Fire Rescue crews had a vehicle resting on a rock wall after it left the roadway and struck a tree. The occupant of the car was medically evaluated and refused medical transport. Firefighters used a chainsaw to cut up the tree and remove it from the roadway. Kinney Towing came to the scene lifted the vehicle from the stonewall to avoid rupturing the gas tank. A commercial box truck at the scene stopped after witnessing the accident but was not involved in the crash.
