ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst saw nine new coronavirus cases in the last week, a slight increase from the previous week, according to statistics from the DuPage County Health Department. As of Sunday, the city had 4,418 cases, a 0.2 percent hike from the week before. The previous week saw an increase of five cases. The number of those who have recovered is unavailable. As of Sunday, the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst stayed the same in the last week, at 68. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1.5 percent.
