For the love of GOD. The Stones, The Who, The Eagles, The Doors <---your grandpa listened to this shit. G'N'R, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, The Black Crows <--- Your dad listened to this shit. Okay, Okay, I'm being dramatic. I'm an old fart who was raised on radio listening to Arena Rock and Hair bands. But I never stopped listening to new music whether it was Nirvana, Or Linkin' Park, Or 30 seconds to Mars. Why the fuck are all cover band musicians in this town stuck in the 60's, 70's and 80's??? Seriously, does anyone want to play some MODERN rock??? I'm talking shit like Imagine Dragons, 21 Pilots, Hozier, Ed Sheeran, Cage the Elephant. Rock is for YOUNG people. Do you realize that kids in their early 20's that hang out in clubs and bars think that bands like the foo fighters, Linkin Park, Nickelback, and Matchbox 20 are OLD BANDS???? Of course not. Because to you, those are brand new bands even though they have been around for 20 years. Because all you think about is yourself and your Crosby Stills and Nash and Lynrd Skynrd. I was talking to some old fart who has a bunch of older retiree age farts in his band talking shit about how they want to be the best high energy rock band in the area. But all 20 of his "written in stone" covers on his set list were ANCIENT, the newest song from like 1975. There is a disconnect here. DO YOU PEOPLE REALIZE THAT KIDS BORN IN THIS CENTURY, THIS MILENIUMN in the year 2000 are old enough to go to bars???? Of course you don't. I played all those covers for years but i never stopped changing with the times. Anyway, rant over. I play drums and sing. Looking for vocalists, bassist, guitars and keys.
