Press release from the City of White Plains: June 25, 2021 Summer Career Leaders Program in partnership with SUNY Purchase This program is open to White Plains youth ages 14 & 15 years of age. Youth work Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program will operate three days virtual and two days onsite. Participants will learn the following skills: Financial Literacy Leadership College & Career Readiness Problem Solving Health & Wellness Communication Project Thrive Project Thrive is a Food Truck program where students will be taught culinary skills. Teens will cook and prepare a menu of food including hot dogs, French fries and other food items. Students will learn business skills including marketing, shopping and customer service.
