Description
I contacted a local survey company to try and get some borders established on a vacant property.
They wanted $1600 to send someone out to search for redwood stakes that were set in 1964..... No lasers, no GPS equipment, just a dude on foot apparently with vague guidance.
I passed... Figured I can do that much for just the price of gas lol. I didn't find anything but I doubt very much they've lasted 60 years regardless.
Is this normal operation for a survey co? I have yet to bother contacting another.
Admittedly the property is a ways out of town, about an hour. I just think that's an excessive asking price for simple corner markings. Maybe I'm wrong?
