Job description We are actively seeking a part-time Manufacturing Technician to support every stage of our production line. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for the execution of fabrication tasks such as sanding composite parts, creating composite laminates with customized fiber orientations, and operating our automated machinery. We prefer individuals that are detail-oriented and that clearly communicate continuous feedback about ways we can improve the overall process and experience for the team. Responsibilities: *Learning our manufacturing process for molding thermoplastic composite parts *Following our internal workflow documentation *Executing every stage of our production line *Operating our automated manufacturing equipment *Running Quality Control processes on final parts *Providing feedback and suggestions for process improvement *Stretch: Managing production runs Experience & Qualifications: *Hard working and committed to the team *Basic fabrication skills *Bonus: Machining metals or plastic experience *Bonus: Interested in fabrication techniques with composite materials Details: *Part-time (18-27 hours per week/2-3 days per week) *$15.00 per hour Who are we? Rapid TPC is a Pittsburgh-based parts manufacturing company specializing in the high volume production of carbon and glass fiber composite parts. We have a proprietary production process, partnerships with large materials companies, and active relationships with a wide range of industries. Rapid TPC makes quick-turn prototyping and manufacturing with composites easy for our clients. We help customers with part design, selecting the right materials, prototyping, and production. Our goal is to make manufacturing composites as simple as working with more standard materials and processes. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: Fully vaccinated team members do not need to wear a mask; partially-vaccinated or unvaccinated team members do wear masks. The production floor is a large work area with good air flow and ventilation.
