FURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER / ASSEMBLER NEEDED FOR IN HOME DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: -CLEAN DRIVING RECORD -Work 3-5 days / week -8 to 10 hours / day -Able to lift items up to 50lbs -Able to do furniture assembly (similar to IKEA) -Need reliable transportation to and from work in West LA -Detail oriented -Extremely careful with our merchandise and customers homes -Presentable appearance, with proper customer service skills JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for qualified candidates that can work with us part/full time doing furniture delivery to customers homes. You will drive OUR OWN 17 foot box truck, so you must have a clean driving record, and experience with a larger truck (Like a Medium UHAUL). You will be responsible for calling customers to confirm your arrival time. Routing yourself to the delivery via GPS. Load and unload the truck. Shrink wrap, or blanket delicate items. Delivery furniture into customers homes (stairs, elevators, etc.) and do the required assembly of the items. About half of the deliveries will be drop off, and half will require some assembly. You must be familiar with basic power tools (drill, driver, etc.) and be able to read and understand assembly instructions similar to IKEA items. Days typically start around 8-10am and end 6-8pm. You will start your day by picking up and loading the truck in our West LA location, and then drive around the city doing deliveries. You will also be responsible for visiting our manufacturers warehouses to pick up items in box and deliver them. Typically you will drive 75-125 miles a day. You will be working with a partner as well, so you will not be doing the deliveries by yourself.
